it was a usual Wednesday!
rushing assignments like mad!
my day was pretty boring.
until..
CHEW MING-Y texted me!
i was pretty excited to get her text k?
hahaha.
n guess what her text said?
'what r u n tim doing tonight dear?'
voila!
.
..
...
..
.
'we're going out TONIGHT!'
where to?

I-P-O-H!
so she came over with amelia and picked tim n i up at ard 730pm n headed to IPOH!
felt so excited k?
so, first place she took us to was to go eat 'nga choi kai.'
literal translation : 'bean sprout chicken.'
it was yummy-licious!
after nga choi kai, we were off for desserts!
so, we headed to ipoh's old old town.
and got our really yummy brownies at brewster's.
it's a MUST GO!

baby & i

the pretty lightings at brewster's.
spot amelia!

this place totally reminds me of 'the humphrey's' residence before rufus got married to lily in gossip girl.

the very wonderful brownie with vanilla ice-cream!

after brewster's, we took a drive around ipoh.
amelia was our tour guide.
introducing to us (tim & i) the landmarks of ipoh.
pretty cool k?
makes me feel like i'm a tourist!
LOL.
then, amelia took us to this place called 'kinta riverfront.'
it was pretty 'nice' tho it was at the river front.
=D
over there, there was this sort of show case showing the history of ipoh that use to be a tin mining land.
inside the 'museum', there was a showroom for a property they're developing.
we went to see the showroom for FUN.
quite impressive.
they're developing hotel suites and condominiums.
condos starting from RM300k onwards.
it's 1200+ sq. ft.
along the kinta river, they'll be building 6 mini bridges.
pg bridge, sydney harbour bridge, london bridge, golden gate bridge and i forgot the
other 2.
oops.
creative much?

along the kinta river.
kinta riverfront.

this is how the place looks like.

that's one of the mini bridges.
sydney harbour front.
after walking around, ming insisted that we should go try this very special dessert.
that's round TWO of desserts in ONE night!
so, she drove us to a hawker centre.
according to amelia, that road was called 'thong sui kai.'
meaning, 'desserts road'.
funny?
the stall wasn't open so we tried d same dessert from another stall.
sad sad.
after looking for a place to sit, we ordered.
and this is how our dessert look like!

yummy?
it's called 'chap kuo shyut'.
in cantonese it means mixed fruit ice.
it was SOOO beautiful that i so tak sampai hati eat k?

there was mango, watermelon, honeydew, longan..

.. dragon fruit, peanuts, jelly, sago that looks like tadpoles, nangka and choc ice-cream!
m i making you drool yet?
MUST try!
it's just near ipoh parade. *winks*
after that, we headed back to kampar!
overall, it was a great nite!
definitely my best nite ever since i came to kampar!
i hope there's more to come! *wink wink*
THANKS, MING & AMELIA!
